Resolution's Brendan Caldwell writes: The Guardian of Light is no exception. It is arguably the most fun the lady archaeologist has been since the days of intentionally swan-diving her from atop a Sphinx. The narrative remains as fantastical as ever but thankfully this tale is self-contained, leaving no room for any of the Sungod-awful background story. No mummy issues, no mansion on fire, no mentor betrayal, no annoying flashbacks that will eventually lead to her institutionalisation. “Hello, I’m Lara. And I’m a homocidoholic.”
