The video game Medal of Honor (MoH) has gone on sale despite calls by the UK defence secretary to ban it.
"In the 1990s, single player games usually lasted for days, if not weeks. However, that changed with the 2001 release of Max Payne, which could be completed in under 12 hours." Is this true? Max Payne was the first "short" game? Could have swore there were shorter games before that.
The defence secretary need to stfu.
Older games just were harder to beat, but they still were actually pretty short in length. Megaman, Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Sonic, hell, most of the games were actually pretty short once you knew how to beat them, to the point you could do so in a few hours.
Mario was beaten in less than an hour. So is Sonic. Maybe on the PS2 we had a few longer games but right now we have long games too. Especially RPGs. I don't know what they are talking about. Also if you ask me the story in MoH is all about that "I'm an American!! Fuck Yeah!!!" mentality. There are different points in the game that becomes so apparent. It's basically showing how advanced the US forces are against the evil Taliban and Chechen forces. It's clear that it's about US(good) vs Taliban(evil) so I don't know what the big deal is. Online though is a different story but to be honest when I was playing with the Opposind Forces(taliban) all I've seen is a guys hand and the gun and wasn't thinking that "I'm a part of the Taliban and it makes me feel so good to kill Americans" I mean...this is really stupid. There we have Battlafield Bad Company 2...USA vs Russia. CODMW2 USA vs Russia. I don't think that the USA has such good relations with Russia so this isn't needed in games yet it's there and no one complains because it's different??? In what way?
What about Halo 3, ODST, and Reach's campaign being way to short as Bungie said it would be and by the reactions of many of my friends and yet those games where given outstanding scores. Everybody needs to stop hating MoH. I own it and its taking me awhile to beat it with all the multiplayer goodness and a bonus MoH Frontlines
I'd give it a 7/10 for the SP. It's not up to my expectations, and it left me rather disappointed. I completed the campaign in 4 hours, which is way too short, even for a game with a multiplayer mode.
It's a video game -.- *serious face*
Controversy ? The only real controversial thing is that Dice decided to change the control layout instead of sticking with the same as BFBC2. Every time i want to melee i throw a grenade and then when i want to crouch i melee. D'OH
I haven't seen a single person who will actually be playing the game complain about the Taliban crap. I mean its not the gamers its people who will never even pick up a controller ever...
Don't ban the game, ban the war. oops ban the oil. ban something.
the video in the article says it all... everyone is blowing this game way out of proportion.
