CAG - When Square-Enix first announced Final Fantasy XIV back at E3 2009, there was a lot of excitement and a lot of promises. Originally planned to launch on both the PC and PS3 sometime in 2010, it was pitched as a more casual, mainstream experience than its predecessor Final Fantasy XI. The release is finally here, but we are getting something a little different than planned. The PS3 version has been delayed until sometime in March 2011, and the game is not quite as casual and accessible as they initially led on. I’ve actually been playing FFXIV since the release of the Collector’s Edition (an unusual earlier launch than the Standard Edition), and I’ve gathered a healthy share of impressions from my experience.
