Continuing their revival of classic games, Atari today announced that Star Raiders, the classic first-person space combat game first released in 1979, will return in an all-new incarnation on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in early 2011.

The original Star Raiders was released in 1979 for the Atari 400 \ 800 8-bit computers. How does this remake hold up?
