ARS: Remember the Sonic spin-off where the the main character had guns? Or the game where Sonic and a human girl had a relationship, and the girl was played by Lacey Chabert? Sonic has gone through some weird (not to mention terrible) games as the character floundered on the modern consoles.
No more. SEGA takes Sonic back to his roots with the opening levels in the episodic Sonic 4. Sonic is back in 2D, he runs around loops, and there are no sidekicks. It's good to finally get what we've been asking for since Sonic Adventure.
