You’ll start off by creating a character with the usual amenities of alternate hair styles, facial features, and unique details, like eye patches are war face paint. Next, you’ll need to align yourself with one of the game’s three factions: the Wei, Shu, or Wu.
As you continue playing, you’ll earn points for your faction, which can help your side gain control over more territories. This can lead to perks for members of your faction. But aligning yourself with the weaker factions can also earn you other bonuses for siding with the underdogs.

As the years went by with the console versions of the game and they released Empire Mode. This means they could definitely create an experience with online gaming that would have a lot of depth.
