Fillion as Drake: we definitely predicted it all by ourselves and nobody else did. Or something.

Play-mag: "Most predictable choice for a role ever starts ball rolling on campaign for his casting as Nathan Drake."

Nathan Fillion for Nathan Drake.
Yvonne Strahovski for Elena Fisher.
Bruce Campbell for Victor God-damn Sullivan
Terence Stamp for Gabriel Roman
Benjamin Bratt for Atoq Navarro
Amaury Nolasco for Eddy Raja

Not sure who the current director is, but either Peter Jackson or Stephen Spielberg would make for great Action/Adventure Directors

LordMarius3296d ago

Not gonna happen. I think Sony likes money which means no Fillion

Also why is the Quagmire's comment marked as Bad Language, lol

Baka-akaB3296d ago

Fillion is no longer the "king of cancelled great series" , he is meeting big success right now with Castle , so anything is possible ...

RememberThe3573296d ago

I was just about the say that. Bubbles for typing it before I thought it :)

LordMarius3296d ago

Castle isnt really a high-rating show

RememberThe3573296d ago

Cording to Wikipedia it's drawing in 10 million+ viewer and ABC has ordered a third season.

I really haven't watched network TV since Dollhouse was canceled, but that's not bad at all.

Baka-akaB3296d ago

like Remember pointed out , it actually is a high rated show .. it's started slowly but kept gaining viewers during its first season and has kept going higher and higher so far .

Nathan Fillion is a good actor and would fit Drake very well, but...

how about Ryan Reynolds? He's got star cred, his wit and personality are quite similar to Nathan, and lets be honest he's a good looking chap.
And he can act (go see Buried if you disagree) .

(or maybe Colin Farrell? He's funny (In Bruges), and he's got both acting (Tigerland,Phonebooth,Minority Report) and action (SWAT,The Recruit,Miami Vice) credentials as well!)

KingPin3296d ago

this sucks. why the hell would they wanna make a live action movie? seriously, if its based on the games...PLAY THE GAMES for the story!! if not, MAKE A NEW GAME with the story!! there is no need for a movie. but if they must, and i mean MUST, make a movie, why the hell not make it CGI with the original voice actors/actresses.

Rocket Sauce3296d ago

I think it will be cool to move into a new medium. A CG movie would just make me wish I had a controller in my hands.

Spydiggity3296d ago (Edited 3296d ago )

They've already casted, filmed, and made a sequel to this movie.

Panthers3296d ago

So should they have not made the LOTR movies since we could just read the books for the stories?

Traveler3296d ago

No, I love Uncharted and would also love to see it on the big screen. Of course I want them to do a good job, that goes without saying. But I really think it could make for an amazing movie.

Nathan Fillion is a perfect choice.

Why yvonne Strahovski for Elena Fisher ? She was voiced by a better actress who actually fits her looks quite a bit , Emily Rose , from one of the current new tv hits , Haven .

Traveler3296d ago

Yeah, Emily Rose is used to acting in front of a camera and she definitely has the look and obviously the voice, haha. She would be perfect. Claudia Black should also play her own role. Nathan Fillion should play Nathan Drake though. Nolan North is an amazing voice actor but I don't think he has the right look for Nathan Drake.

Masta_Killa3296d ago

...but Nolan North should get this role. End of story.

karl3296d ago

yeah.. i kinda wish he was a bit younger though...

Trroy3296d ago (Edited 3296d ago )

He's only 40. That's not really that old. Nathan Drake, the character, is supposed to be pretty close to that, and Harrison Ford was probably close to that when he played Indiana Jones in the first couple movies.

Baka-akaB3296d ago (Edited 3296d ago )

that's way too old for hollywood and its obsession of potential sequels . Ford was 35-36 when he starred in indiana jones , and Indy is supposed to be older than Drake anyway (wich is 30 btw)..

Nolan doesnt have the star aura neither of a Robert Downey jr to be selected in spite of that .

Thinking about it , that's what is gonna prevent Fillion for the role , unless the public really demands him .

Traveler3296d ago

I don't think he is too old, I just think he doesn't look enough like Nathan Drake.

Nathan Fillion has the voice and physical persona of Nathan Drake and he would be a perfect fit.
