Rely on Horror writes: "With “The Writer” now released, Alan Wake (the game) comes to a close, and maybe our title hero too, done and finished with his novel, “Departure.” Alan however hasn’t given up even if his novel is complete, he has become lost in his own mind in the Dark Place, and even after The Signal where he overcome his inner demons, he must now contest his inner fears."
CVG: Epic Games' most famous franchise, Gears Of War, may be hugely reliant on its cover system - but they'll be no such mechanic in its new shooter Bulletstorm
As previously reported on CVG, it has an admirably ridiculous story - with a drunken space-based rivalry at its heart
However, those expecting a Gears-style cover-shoot-cover-shoot effort can think again
I hav 2 admit, BulletStorms lookin SWEET!!! Epic hurry up and show sum gameplay - STAT
Not sure this is good for me. I much prefer a shooter with a good cover system over your typical stand around and shoot system.
We'll see, I guess.
Excellent. Then we won't have to worry about taking cover, just shooting things up.
Just as the game's name intended.
The two expansion packs for Remedy Entertainment's 2010 Xbox 360 thriller Alan Wake are now free. You can grab The Signal and The Writer on Xbox Live right now at no cost.

Did that game do well? I remember playing it at a friends and being so surprised that it doesn't have more recognition.
Telling the story of a writer plagued by his own demons, Alan Wake delivered both an enticing story and an innovative gameplay mechanic: the use of light as a weapon. The main game followed Wake's quest to rescue his wife from the darkness, while the first DLC episode, The Signal, chronicled Wake's battle for his own sanity. The second installment, The Writer, expands on the events seen in The Signal, all the while keeping the experience fresh and the story moving forward.
