In a reversal of fortunes from the PlayStation 3 chart, Namco Bandai's Enslaved has proven more popular than Konami's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow in the UK's official Xbox 360 sales rankings.

Wait, I thought Xbox 360 players only bought shooters and variety was only allowed on ps3. . .weird.

Lack of originality has plagued Xbox games, not variety.

The only truly original Xbox games I own are Alan Wake and Limbo,
both largely ignored by the majority of the Xbox community.

Games such as LittleBigPlanet and Heavy Rain (even Flower on PSN), have been commercial successes on the PS3, while (the excellent) Alan Wake tanked on the 360. MS needs a Media Molecule or Team Ico, if they want to offer their consumers a different sort of gaming experience.

(Btw the only Xbox exclusive on the list is a Shooter!)

Imperator3292d ago

Alan Wake and Limbo were both on the wrong console. 360 gamers (at least, the large majority of them) do not appreciate games that are not mindless shooters.

On Ps3, niche games like Valkyria Chronicles, Heavy Rain, etc. enjoy success which would be near impossible to have on the 360. If Alan Wake had released on PS3/PC, it would have been technically far impressive and sold a lot more.

Yes, Alan Wake sold poorly because 360 owners are brainless. It clearly had nothing to do with releasing at the same time as RDR...

GCNSeanFoster3292d ago

I agree about Alan Wake... One of the best exclusives and one of the most original games on the Xbox 360 and the community did not show up for it... I love the game...

ShinMaster3292d ago (Edited 3292d ago )

Except one. Guess which one is the exclusive. The shooter.

And which games are the most successful? That's right, the shooters.

That's how the Xbox community has always been.

Good news for Ninja Theory.

I agree, but Enslaved is still a great game. Castlevania is just awesome.
