Hey, but if Nintendo builds it they will come.

Thats why 3D gaming is really more suitable for handhelds, because they're self contained units. The problem with 3D gaming today is that you need to buy a new expensive TV for it, and there's not many gamers with 3D TVs. But if you can buy a handheld that has the 3D display contained all in one, then anyone who buys the console has a 3D display and developers can develop with 3D in mind.

I'd say the price is fair at 249.99. You're getting a glasses free 3D display, which is a first in consumer electronics and expensive technology. Any higher than that, its going to be tough to convince people that its a fair value for a handheld. But I think 250 will work and they should sell well. Hell, if they could sell it for 229, then I think this sticker shock will disappear.

is NOT too much to pay so U can get to play
Paper mario, Mario Kart, LoZ OoT, MegaMan Legends 3, StarFox 64 (and many future games to come)

you can watch TV channels on it then of course the price is fair. But if it's only movies that you buy, the two shouldn't be compared at all. The 3DS is an impressive gaming device, built with less impressive tech than the PS3 and Xbox 360, which sell for a comparable price and make profit. You have to call it what it is. Taking advantage of consumer excitement, and milking of early adopters.

Damn! Yall wanted Nintendo to release a high end game machine, and now when they do, Nag Nag Nag!
So it cost more than wii, big whoop! DS cost more than the Cube on launch!
