I think you mean "Naomi and OTACON" from MGS4? Although I'd like to think that Snake and Meryl (MGS1) would be a better fit... :)

Agreed - Drake and Elena was a really well writeen, sweet story - especially in the context of a shooter-adventure game. Should have been in a list like this.

Few examples, however, comprise MGS(1-4), BioShock, Halo 1-3 as a whole.

I'm not sure there's much real "Romance" in Bioshock. The first game had Diane McClintock, but both of those ended rather badly.

Maybe you've not been a member of N4G long, have you? Actual 'news' is almost non-existent on this site.

From time to time, something that actually resembles news will be posted (companies merge, company breaks up, new game announced, beta info, leaked footage, etc).

But odds are if you click any random article, it'll be filed under opinion piece; which, by definition, is not news. Even if it is not filed under opinion piece, it likely is an opinion piece.

There are quite a few that I think that I like more. Off the top of my head I really like Nate and Elena from Uncharted-mostly because they seem natural and have funny banter.

*SPOILERS* (but is from FF7, so you should probably have played it by now)

And I also disagree with Cloud and Aeris. This is the subject of many a debate, but Cloud and Tifa are, in my opinion much better. Aeris annoyed me and I never brought her with me. So I did not really care when she died. Tifa kicked butt and was cool. And saved Cloud and various other things.

And it does not matter anymore because she died so he should just deal with it. He can not really do anything about it now.

after the events of FFVII start to occur and Aries/Zack were a true couple for the FFVII universe, seeing how she comforted zack as he cried. Also she knew exactly when died.......CC ending was very well done

I agree with Nate and Elena,they are one of my favorite power couples.

Totally disagree about Aeris. I hate it when someone says someone is annoying with no possible basis for it. She didn't talk in FFVII so it can't be her voice. She does nothing but help Cloud get over the girl who never gave him the time of day(Tifa), Aeris was way too good for him and almost eerily seemed to be exactly what he needed/wanted. It wasn't until after he had found love in someone else and lost it did Tifa realize her true feelings for Cloud.

Don't get me wrong, Tifa kicks ass! Yet Aeris was just as cool. How awesome is it having a girlfriend who is one with the planet and can save your skinny ass anytime you are in REAL trouble? thats Aeris for you :)
