GC 2007: Burnout Paradise Progress Report

Your car is going to get messed up. If there was one thing to take away from EA's presentation of Burnout Paradise -- that is beyond all the street names, easy D-Pad online system and snapshot photos that they rehashed from E3 -- it's that your car is going to get screwed up in this game, and you're going to love it.

While Matt Webster, creative director for Burnout paradise, gave a small gathering of reporters the lowdown on 2008's next big car game, his partner drove a blue Mustang around the streets of Paradise City. The car scraped some parked cars, plowed into taillights and took jumps that seriously damaged the stability of its suspension.

The story is too old to be commented.

This game is being developed on the PS3 as the lead platform, the first that I know of, and it needs to be 60fps (or more if possible) cause it's way too fast and I will not enjoy the slow down or lag in the frame rate cause it will ruin the experience a little. I noticed that this gen of gaming I've become more picky and critical of every little detail. Let's all hope this lives up to our expectation.

This game was supposed to be have come out this fall but I'm glad they're taking their time to perfect it.

Awesome find. Burnout is among my top 5 fave game series and Paradise looks to be the most spectacular one to date.

Haze is an earlier lead multiplatform for PS3. Burnout is 2008 and Haze should be coming out this year.

look like developers are keeping their promise of making Burnout better on PS3 than xbox 360. keep it up. ;)

this will be great for my burnout collection.

btw: xbots, you are one burnout short of your burnout collection, burnout dominator. xbots, you lose.
