console wars are only on the web. Outside we dont give a f1ck. We just play all consoles.

I game on a PC and the PS3 which I think is an awesome combo. I only miss out on a few 360 exclusives (lots of them are also on the PC) and the Wii never appealed to me (the SD resolution is a real turnoff for me). However, I never thought of a PC as a console and really consider it a gaming platform with consoles being the PS3, 360 and Wii.

I gave you a bubble because it seems like you could use one, damn those fanboys are nasty.

Console wars? They still exist?

garrod5371d ago

lol agreed I can't believe this honestly still goes on. I have all 3 current gen system and love em all :)

But in the interwebz, fanboys make no difference, even if they think they would.

companies that are putting up the MOST effort.

i used to own all consoles pretty much.all they way to xbox which i still have and enjoy.but this generation came out different.i'm older, wiser, like when things are packed in,and try to avoid companies that put no effort in their work.i don't have as much time because of work,i spend time with my girlfriend, family, friends and getting out of the house.

i chose ps3.because it truly was sony's best effort at a reasonable price.i bought it at launch.it does what they said it would and has constantly improved since i bought it.i was looking for next gen and that partly was because of graphics.we ALL jump to next gen because it looks better and it's closer to our imaginations.no matter how people deny it,we jump forward because of graphics and technology.

but it wasn't just that.sony said it was built to last 10 years and will improve.i've seen their 10 year predictions TWICE.and i have seen the quality.when i spend money i also look for quality.ps3 was it.it may have looked steep 4 years ago.but it was actually a BARGAIN.

but the other two companies did not put up their best effort.nintendo redesigned the gamecube and added a new controller.that's not jumping forward.that's staying the same and not putting in effort.they released a motion controller that was not their best effort.and had to release an add-on to improve what should have been standard at launch.their online blows.the graphics are gamecube quality.i had those looks already.i had 3 gamecubes.

WHY WASTE MY MONEY WHEN NINTENDO WAS NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH?

same with microsoft.they cut corners to make 360.we seen the results of that.for a company with billions, they decided to keep it in the bank.they charge for online gaming when i can play for free.they overcharge for wifi, hdds, dlc, flash drives, microsoft points,add-ons(odst,forza ultimate, crackdown 2,etc)and the console cost just as much as a ps3.WHY?ps3 has more built in but 360 is $299...WHY?

sony on the other hand, spends more on the creation of games instead of marketing.puts their best effort forward on 1st and second party.has the best 3D online community(home).nintendo did 2D miis.and microsoft phoned in arcade.and will charge you for games you already have for it.i'm not going to WASTE my money.

same with motion.nintendo had to fix theirs.microsoft again with their billions, went cheap on kinect by pulling sh!t out.while move is sony's best effort again.it's 1:1.not fake wiimote motion.not lag kinect motion.not buying six sense to just have motion.they WORKED on it for years.

i'm not saying those systems can't be fun.but why waste my money?ps3 now has beyond wii capabilities.so i didn't have to BUY wii.and move is more accurate than kinect.all that hand waving can be done on pseye.
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
and 3D is not coming to wii or 360.

it's not fanboysim.it's smart consumerism.why buy a hot dog with no relish(wii?)why buy a hamburger(360) that cost the same price as a juicy steak(ps3)?it's not about just picking sides....

I'm pretty sure that COD Black Ops is 3D, on topic well last time I checked I play games not the console

Agent-865371d ago (Edited 5371d ago )

I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I also have the PS3 which I think is an awesome sidekick. Since I like FPS and RTS games the most, I do the majority of my gaming on the PC since I believe the graphics and the controls are better (I prefer keyboard/mouse for those games). However, the PS3 has some awesome exclusives that I just couldn't pass up; plus I can also get those games (like RDR) that aren't on PC. At this point, the 360 seems redundant to me since I can get most of its exclusives for the PC and I really just don't like the idea of paying to play online. And the Wii is out of the question since the SD resolution is real turn off and none of the games are very appealing to me since they are so "kiddie" oriented. I honestly think that the PC + PS3 is great combo and you really don't need anything else.

The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
