TMA - The Crimsons Review

TMA - The App Store is devoid of any really notable games in the Horror genre. Only a few developers have been able to convey the atmosphere through the small screen of the iPhone and truly succeed in instilling the feeling of terror. What’s even more interesting is the fact that all of them are indie, with such famous franchises as Resident Evil 4 or SILENT HILL The Escape (US) failing to even scare a 2 year old on the platform.

Pocket Gamer Review: The Crimsons

Pocket Gamer:
The Crimsons is monstrous.

That's both a summary of the game's plot – the story of a series of ghoulish paintings that come to life – and a critique of its hackneyed gameplay.

Played out in an atmospheric 3D environment, The Crimsons initially feels like a bold new take on survival-horror, introducing elements of investigation to the traditional focus on combat.

Unfortunately, there are as many flaws to combat as there are frightening enemies.
