and they look like crap...

GT5 gives NASCAR Justice even though its the "lite" version of it.

aren't completely crap, it's going to have a hard time competing with Gran Turismo 5. Especially since it has more to offer than just NASCAR.

mrcash5376d ago

It doesn't compete with gt5, never has. Visuals actually look great, I like the scraped off paint, although I want to see a totaled car

I thought Sony had gotten the license for NASCAR. Or was it not an exclusive license? Whole reason I thought NASCAR was even being included in GT5.

PolyDig is putting NASCAR in for the US. This game is for car lovers, so it's a bonus. All that is needed is a NASCAR DLC pack and activision will eat it on the racer. But NASCAR lovers will buy it. GT5 isn't just about racing, it's about the spiritual power in the love and passion for driving.

I think it looks good. Looks better than the crap EA did.

The graphics look fine in my opinion...

look there making a left turn!!

Otheros005376d ago

A racing game were you only make left turns should not be a game.
All the people that went to go see nascar just want to see the crashes and not the "left turns".

poindat5376d ago (Edited 5376d ago )

It's the racing that matters, not the turns. Stock car racing has a very rich history in North America and it would be ignorant to discredit as a legitimate and interesting form of motorsport.

But NASCAR does have three problems. The first two are over-zealous regulation and corporate ass-kissery that is beginning to ruin the racing. Second is that the races are just too damn long. I don't have the time to watch a three and a half hour race, so just forget it.

It's definitely been in decline over the years, but "left turns are boring" is certainly not a valid excuse to discredit stock car racing in general.

NASCAR has only 40 worth watching laps. The first and last 20. Everything else is left turns, billboards, ad stickers and beer commercials.

Otheros, thanks for demonstrating two things:

1 - You are not a NASCAR fan

2 - You don't understand NASCAR fans

Anyone that saw Loudon 2 weeks ago, particularly the last 20 laps, can get a clear picture of just ONE of the things that makes NASCAR nailbiting....and it isn't just crashes.

Nascar: The Game Review | TheGamingExperience

TheGamingExperience says: "As for single player though, this game does truly shine. If you have ever played the previous installments of the Nascar franchise, you would remember that they lacked depth and realism. Well Eutechnyx has put both of them into it with the ROBUST create-a-car / drive feature; as for realism, well let’s just say if you’re not first, you’re last. If you really want that competitiveness that is Nascar"

Neocrisis: Nascar: The Game 2011 Review

Neocrisis: Nascar The Game 2011 is a Nascar Simulation game for the fans! The graphics in this game a very good, almost life life. The controls are also good and do what they are supposed to. Music in this game really set the mood of Nascar. Gameplay is as good as a sim sports game can be. This is not a perfect sports sim though!
