According to Ninja Theory chief Tameem Antoniades, the downloadable content for the much-anticipated Enslaved isn't just going to be "an extra few levels kind of thing.
Demo was so boring. I fell asleep Two times while playing it. No joke. Drab and bland about sums it all up. Edit to below: I booted the demo up around 2 in the morning last week when it dropped. I started playing and about 5 min into it fell asleep. I woke up and my guy, the generic looking shirtless guy, was underneath the walkway plank chilling out. I was like "Whao, wake up. Let's give this game the benefit of the doubt" So I started playing again. This time I made it to the part where you're on the wings of the ship and I drifted to sleep. When I woke up my Ps3 was turned off. I have it set to turn off after an hour, so either that happened or my wife turned off my tv, in turn that turns off my Ps3. Either way the game bored me to tears with its drab scenery and generic characters and lame stick fighting.
You fell asleep twice? How long were you out for?
I`ve heard that`s a side effect of pretending to own a Playstation.
I hate this dlc shit that this gen has created.
This is the 1st time I've ever agreed with you, I think 2012 is real.
The game is not even out yet and they're talking DLC? Why not just put it in the game...
DVD9 of course
Need to get the game out now due to struggling with the Cell for so long. Gives them more time to develop more for the game with out deadlines and Cell processor problems.
Its obvious every dev is doing this now. People brought it upon themselves. Pointing it at the hardware wont help. While not supporting DLCs may help. First they start charging 60usd for a game for consoles this gen, some of that crap has even spilled over to the PC. If that wasnt enough they put up this crap about announcing dlcs before the game is out. Milk all the way.
The scenery is actually pretty cool in this game though. Post apocalyptic but all you see is green. Pretty cool.
this is not 'post apocalyptic'
Yeah it is actually. From amazon: "Enslaved is a post-apocalyptic retelling of the classic 400-year old novel ‘Journey to the West’. Set 150 years from now, the world has been ruined by war and ecological disaster with only a handful of survivors remaining." So yeah. Didn't press disagree by the way.
What part of crashing into a destroyed NYC with overgrown trees and destroyed buildings did you not get?
damn i suck dick.
this game suxs
This guy is a total douchebag and should just shut the hell up because every time he opens his trap, it makes his company and the game look bad. The man is so vain, he modeled Dante after himself! Judging by the Enslaved demo, it's not a new experience. It doesn't bring anything original to the table and doesn't do anything special with what it stole from other games before it. The man is delusional and needs a serious wakeup call. I'm hoping for mediocre scores for Enslaved and DmC (if it ever sees the light of day). To further the point, I really don't want to hear developers talk about their games unless it's a behind the scenes technical/design/project management thing. It's so aggravating to read developers talk about their games being the next great thing. Let your work speak for itself!
If the demo says anything about the game I will pass...
their already preaching about the DLC.
Capcom mentality already kicking in...thanks but no thanks
My thoughts exactly. It's pathetic. I'm glad that they are excited about giving gamers DLC to extend the game even further but how about you freaking release the damn game and see the gamers reaction first? Talking about a DLC before a game is released just makes many people to believe that they could have just incorporated it into the full game rather than as a separate purchase or download. Ninja Theory is beginning to irritate me. This didn't happen with Heavenly Sword but it seems that they think Enslave will be the next big holy thing to hit the console. I'm sure many developers think the same thing when creating their own game but the arrogance is really starting to show for Ninja Theory. If the game is that great, then let the game speak for itself.
Thanks, expect all 3rd party games to have DLC day 1.
All this means is if people even want to play the game that they should just wait for a sharp price drop(it will happen).
LOL the PS3 boys bashing the game now LOL wonder what thats about (wink) anyway I like DLC as long as it's like the Mass Effect 2, Fallout or Borderlands DLC.
amazing...already hyping DLC.... even they sound scared of the game...
