Following the announcement of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D at Nintendo’s press conference in Japan this morning, Capcom Europe has offered clarification on a number of details about the game. Acting as a completely separate entry in the series, unrelated to the previously announced Resident Evil: Revelations, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will use the Nintendo 3DS’ WiFi Connectivity to allow players from around the world to join forces in co-op gameplay, regardless of location.

Edit: Well I take that back. If it's a RE5 remake then I might pass.
Resident Evil 5 made me hate the entire line. It would take a grand gesture of massive proportions to get me to go back to the RE line after that disaster.
Looks like Capcom wanted to make some extra cash and just separated mercs mode from RE: Revelations and made it into its own game, and put some RE4/5 maps into it to make it longer.
Not interested.
