good to see the first source to break the news was right! now just how much?

Theoneneo812970d ago (Edited 2970d ago )

Nintendo is scared they see what Sony has done with the Move

hot4play2970d ago

True. Nothing wrong with that though, seeing as Sony wants to eat away at their market. It's just a game of chess between these companies :)

ChickeyCantor2970d ago

How are they scared?
In what way does this tackle anything Move does?

It just saves them some money on yearly bases.
They had this planned since 2008.

Its just lovely that first motion gaming was hated, and now Move is like the second coming of jesus. Anything any company does now....its because of Sony and Move.
RIGHT, how about a cup of STFU?

RedPawn2970d ago (Edited 2970d ago )

LMFAO

Do those cups come with paper sleeves?

BISHOP-BRASIL2970d ago

It should have been like that from the start, or at least, built in as soon as they came up with Motion Plus idea.

Also Ninty should have made all games support this as soon as it launched, most games DON'T support motion plus and require it. Yes it would make all those people that already had a Wii (well not all of them, only those that still play it - most people I know got one out of excitment and just got bored a few weeks after) but at least they get something that works.

Since they make the motion controls a requirement rendering the Wii short of gameplay quality in many genres that simply don't fit motion, might as well make a requirement for something that works.

ChickeyCantor2970d ago

It would only take the price up in that time period.
70~80 bucks for a wii-mote?

hot4play2970d ago

hey sidar

Nintendo should have included Motion+ from the start.

"In what way does this tackle anything Move does?"
Simple: ACCURACY. The original Wiimote simply can't compete in that department. Hardware-wise, the Wiimote IS inferior.

NOw, how about YOU STFU? :)

Invader_Quirk2970d ago

@hot4play

If having this tech integrated from the start was feasible, they'd have done it. Move comes with the tech, but it also came out years after the wiimote and also after motion+.

ChickeyCantor2970d ago

MOVE IS NOT A STANDARD, Neither was motion+.
So your point is invalid.

So no, i have a pot of STFU right here for you, and another pot of STFU boiling right now. Want some sugar with that?

It seems to me that Nintendo is trying to get as mush money out of the wii as possible. I mean Nintendo knows how superior technologically the Xbox 360 and PS3 are and Many believe they will release the first 8th gen console. I think this is a desperation move to make more money and in a year maybe even e3 2011 they'll announce their new console which I think will be geared to both the hardcore and casual. Maybe they'll call it the Nintendo HDS. The name seems to go with their handheld and it has an old school feel to it (NES). I expect Nintendo to go all out on the next one, If it is truly next gen. I suspect a real dvd slot possibly blu-ray as nintendo are usually late adopters to things ala CD disc based games

saint_john_paul_ii2970d ago

i can see them release their new console by fall 2012. it can hang on for another year.

JeromeRichfield2970d ago

I wonder if the controls would be bc.

ChickeyCantor2970d ago

" I expect Nintendo to go all out on the next one,"

Please just don't, cause you will be the first person to rage how disappointed you are...don't hold your breath. Don't even think about it. Just wait and see what they deliver.

writersblock2970d ago

Wii plus tech, just built in instead of "added on"?

jjank112970d ago

Lame, Nintendo has really lost my interest this Gen, aside from their 1st party games. All this motion control stuff has become so gimmicky to me, I just want regular control schemes and controllers but with excellent games
