The Horrible World Of WiiWare: Enough Is Enough (RunDLC)

John Artest: "Nintendo doesn’t care about WiiWare, or Virtual Console, for that matter. This was painfully obvious a few months ago, as the publisher continued to allow developers to release horrible games with little fanfare or advertising, but after this morning’s update, I’m done. No offense to Incredible Technologies and Sudden Games. I’m sure both developers worked hard on Target Toss Pro: Lawn Darts and Astro Bugz Revenge, respectively, but how am I supposed to get excited about two games I have never heard of, especially when both titles cost 700 Wii Points apiece?"

Yeah it really does lack compared to XBLA and PSN.

Buff10443335d ago

Agreed. There's nothing to get excited about.

but WiiWare isn't Good enough especially when compering to XBLA and PSN Games

Man, where are the good Virtual Console games? Ugh.

Buff10443335d ago

Virtual Console is all but ignored...Nintendo sort of lost steam with this one.

I love the service. Love it a lot more than XBLA and PSN. Although love some of the PS1 selections on PSN. Still, I have all of the Resident Evil games ever released on Gamecube, so I can even use my Wii for that. The rerelease of Perfect Dark on XBLA was great too, though.

Anyway, Megaman 9/10, Final Fantasy: My Life as a Dark Lord, Final Fantasy IV: After Years, Monkey Island, World of Goo, Lost Winds 1/2, Castlevania Adventure:Rebirth, to name a few. Not to mention the awesomeness of what's available in the virtual console library. Still, Nintendo has been severely lacking on that front as of late. Can't be helped though. There's so much red tape with 3rd party titles. Makes releasing titles stateside even more of a pain in the a$$.

I think by this point no one who knows what they're talking about is seriously arguing that there are no worthwhile games on Wiiware; it's that Nintendo doesn't do enough to promote them (or the service as a whole, for that matter). And as a result, separating the wheat from the chaff is far more difficult than it should be.

stragomccloud3334d ago

Agreed. There's a lot of good stuff out there. But Nintendo isn't doing anything(or enough) to promote them. Well said, sir.
