I remember being amazed at the weather effects of F1 2010 at E3, glad to see they came through and didn't mess those up

I'm stoked that the first F1 game in how many years is a good one!

Got it on Friday and have been playing it non-stop since. Awesome game, but then again i am a big F1 fan. As big as Mark Webbers chin.

It's a good game but the structure is pretty unforgiving which might put people off,I'm not talking about the handling but the way the game plays out you don't jump in a car and come first in every race even on easy. You start of with a Lotus or HRT and are tasked with qualifying in the top 20, which in the first few races is enough of a challenge.
The weather is fantastic, racing at Sepang in a torrential downpour is a blast.

Yeah I agree on some on the structure, it could have possibly used a bit more of a casual career mode as well.

You know, the structure is hard to get at first but then you realize the game has a lot more depth and customization that Codies' other games didn't, so it's worth it.

And in order to get first place in a race you actually have to be good whether on normal or hard. ;) Got first place on my second race.

You have to be aggressive without being reckless.

ive had to start over for the 2nd time on career mode. 1st time was easy and was winning too easy, then on normal, and still managed to qualify 3rd in a lotus in the 1st race 1st season. now started again on hard. qualified 11th in a lotus, doing the race later tonight.

love the game and feels great with my df-gt wheel :)

just need to get some experiance then i can turn off traction control completely, got it on medium for now. just for the 1st season.

I would get it if GT5 wasn't coming out in a little over a month.

Sorry. :(

This was a great review though. It was well written.

Sorry, if I don't buy your reasons.

$40 is not bad for what you get with this game, and especially for a mode that GT5 will NOT have. Good day sir.

kingteekej3341d ago (Edited 3341d ago )

Agreed. If you love theese kind of games, you get it. If you buy GT5 and F1 2010, you have the full package. Wrc, FIA, sportcars, "normal" veterans, Nascar, Formula one, +++. F12010 has the aspect that what GT5 wont have and opposite. Therefore, get both.

Gran Turismo 5 has F1 though. I don't see your point.

I DON'T like these types of games...and yet I'm getting Gran Turismo 5.

That should tell you something.
