Gameroni: review for Dragon Age: Origins - Leliana's Song

Rob Hamilton writes: "Leliana's Song was an interesting, if short, Dragon Age: Origins adventure to play through — even though I've barely used that girl in my quest. I prefer a party with two warriors, one rogue and one mage and my Warden's a rogue, so she's pretty much screwed when it comes to being allowed to leave the camp. Apparently, if she's a major character for you, you get to learn a lot about her personal history (such as how she wasn't always a religious "good girl"), which can lead to a climactic encounter with Marjolaine, her mentor during her former life. Leliana's Song sheds more light upon her relationship with Marjolaine and details the crumbling of their alliance."

Gamerzitch: Batman Arkham City - Not All Games Need Choices

"While playing Arkham City, there were a few moments when I thought to myself “What if I wanted to kill him? Why couldn’t the game have let me choose? It didn’t have to affect the story...” and that got me thinking about the differences between games that offer moral choices, and those that don’t, why sometimes one way is better than another, and why all games don’t just use moral choices in the first place."

That catwoman choice was silly. The whole purpose shouldve just been to go after batman from the start instead of giving catwoman the choice to leave him.

I actually thought we might be given the choice in Arkham City to either save the hundreds of inmates from being bombed or rescue Talia instead. Though I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that Batman ended up doing both anyway. Still, it would have been petty cool if we DID get to choose and to see the consequences of Batman's actions if he chose one over the other.

I've enjoyed the introduction of more choice in games overall this generation but titles like Uncharted and Arkham have shown that a solid single player campaign if done right can still be amazing.

I could never get into this, idk just looking at and the way it plays.... But for that price it may be worth it. Any thoughts on it?

thriftynerd4822d ago

If you want value, I don't think you can go wrong with 1 kabillion estimated hours of gameplay. Just sayin'.

Excalibur4822d ago (Edited 4822d ago )

I just order the Ultimate edition from Amazon for forty two dollars and change. :(

thriftynerd4822d ago

ugh, that's a bummer. Can you cancel?

Excalibur4822d ago

No it was already shipped, should be here this weekend.
I could always send it back though. :)

And it's still not worth the hours of boredom you WILL go through with this game.

Just sayin', money's one thing, but wasting 50 hours of your life into forcing yourself to finish the game...well, yeah.

thriftynerd4822d ago

You can waste way more than 50 hours of your life with all of this content :-P

You can do 50 easy in Origins alone, and then you have Awakening and 9 pieces of DLC.

MAJ0R4822d ago (Edited 4822d ago )

anyone know if I will be able to activate the serial key on Steam

edit: nvm found out that you can't
