I was hoping for really amazing things from this engine, but all the videos hardly put the Unreal engine in its place, as I thought it would.


I thought this was the Crytek engine used for Crysis 2. That thing is underwhelming. And I'll still bet on the fact that it wont best the unreal engine. Due to certain hardware restrictions.

Lol you have no idea what you're talking about. Cryengine 3 has yet to be used on consoles.

Not every game uses its engine to its fullest extent.

You know what's more likely than "Waaaaa teh consols waaa"? The developers didn't put Crytech levels of effort into this little dl title.

In fact, it's based off an open-source game of the same name. It's simply a port of a game that's been around since 2005.

Awesome. This has gone through Darkplaces engine now, Unreal Engine and now CryEngine.
