Gizmodo: Sony Move Review: Don't Be Wii 2.0

As expected, Sony's Move is perfectly competent, hardware-wise, because Sony is a hardware company. But making games that mimic Nintendo's casual-friendly Wii party games is the wrong move. Instead, they need to focus on their true fanbase: The hardcore fans.

The story is too old to be commented.

Correction: It's Wii 4.0

will be seen in the games made from the ground up for move. Ones that have been patched are after the fact and wont really be showing off what move is really capable of. For the current titles it is nothing more than another control scheme as opposed to a necessity to use.

I would imagine the push to add support would have to be enforced by sony and yet even sony knows they cant push to hard because they know the primary control scheme is obviously geared towards DS3.

The games that can ONLY be played using move are the ones to really keep an eye on.

I thought I read Sony say something like none of their games will exclusively use Move. Even their PS3 Sports Resort game lets you use the dualshock controller, right?

I hope that Sony takes the ball and runs with it on this device. They really have a chance to draw wii fans to a higher fidelity experience. I hope they stay away from doing the Mii too thing.

i doubt it if someone actually did choose a wii over the competition then it really wasn't because of motion controls and considering before move everyone was saying and still say wii is nothing but causal this and that that's why again i doubt it

I don't think I ever hear Wii crowd ask for more fidelity in motion control. They seem quite content with waggling.

As EYEamNUMBER1 said, I think if people move to the PS3 it is almost for entirely different reasons. The PS3 itself just doesn't ooze casual. Just look at the way the machine is styled, look at the controllers, look at the image it currently it projects (and what it has in the past) and finally look at the games. The games avatar all look very adult like including the ones in PS Home.

You want to attract the casual then make it look cartoony.

Stay Classy Sony

Haters gonna Hate

the casual games are what works for motion controls they are giving the option of using it it on existing/upcoming games to get "core" gamers on board. I personally would use it for sports boxing and maybe racing but shooters and god of war\mgs woulnt be great in my eyes. Motion controls either need sports, minigames, or new creative games to be interesting. I only use the wiimote because i have to lol. Sonys smart to market it for socom exc. because thats their audience, on the same token casual gamers will see no reason to upgrade its too similar.(although goin to hd is a huge jump)

Their is already games listed for sony fans, plus sony is known for having games for everyone to play.

Kung fu rider was kind of fun but hard to, I got move so my gf can play games and now I find myself enjoying some of them more then I plan.

... Or are you just enjoying the view of her play them in front of you while you relax on the couch. ;)

Game on, bro, game on.
