NHL 2K11 is a solid offering on the Wii for both casual hockey fans and devoted enthusiasts. Although it will probably appeal more to younger fans, NHL 2K11 offers a happy medium between something totally cartoonish and the hardcore hockey sim. If you're looking for hockey on the Wii, NHL 2K11 is a good bet. Everyone can enjoy Road to the Cup mode and with the Classic Controller, the on-ice gameplay is solid; however, if you want the most realistic hockey experience available, you're going to need another option.
Competition breeds better products. Sports fans have been complaining about this for years, and when there is only one game available for a particular sport, it often leads to future releases that can be questioned for their lack of innovation. While sports like soccer, tennis, and baseball have multiple games for you to choose from, other sports genres haven't been so lucky.
Aside from the mediocre computer AI, it's a pretty good title. I'd also recommend MLB 2k11 (I have the Wii version, no online support, but it's still fun to play).

Have any of you played NHL 2K11, and if so, what do you think about the game...good and/or bad? Is it a sports series that you hope 2K Sports perhaps brings back in the future?
I haven't played it, but thought it sounded pretty good with the inclusion of WM+ and online with Wii Speak.
