It's only been a couple of months and 2010 is already shaping up to be one of the best ever for gamers. If your wallet hasn't already been emptied, Electronic Arts and development studio DICE have tossed yet another videogame on the pile that can't be missed. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ups the intensity and visual prowess of its predecessor, while still delivering one of the most compelling multiplayer games around.
With Black Friday having come and gone, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the best gaming deals have already happened, well, think again, Amazon is running another promotion, that will make your Christmas shopping so much easier. The world’s largest online retailer has cut the price of Electronic Arts’ latest and biggest games for today only.
Got Ultimate Dragon age for $25.00 (sale) on Impulse and Need For Speed HS for $39.99 (coupon).
Those are not that great of a deal for PC.
From ShockblastMedia.com: "VIP Map Pack 7 represents the two of the first true new maps as part of the VIP program on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and after just 24 hours, really seems to have brought interest back into the game. Through the course of the VIP program, DICE has been releasing ports of existing maps in different formats, which has definitely been a cause for excitement when the maps finally hit, but still at the end of the day, the excitement tended to be short lived since they were essentially the same old maps. Then there were the maps that never got their ports that everyone waited for, like Valparaiso and Isla Inocentes on Conquest or especially Panama Canal and Laguna Alta on Rush."
One of the guys I play with hated the Harvest Day layout, said their was a missing base from Bad Company 1.
Did anyone have problems playing Oasis map? I was never able to get into that map for Conquest mode yesterday. I received connection error messages and when it looked like I was finally in at the Join Squad Yes or No screen it was loading for over 5 minutes. I just gave up on that map, but was able to play the other map.
How is heavy metal? I'm really interested to see how it is since its so huge(thats what she said).
I was playing these new maps fine yesterday on my ps3 but today none of my VIP maps are showing up wtf????
From ShockblastMedia: "Apparently some time in the last 24-48 hours, someone got their hands on some kind of internal beta for the VIP Map Pack 7 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on the PC. While DICE seems to have taken control of the situation and shut down the servers the games were being played on, a few lucky (or soon to be unlucky?) souls were brave enough to make some videos of their soiree into the land of the unknown and I have gone ahead and posted what is still alive and kicking below. "
All I have to say is..Epic..
I think I'm gonna like that heavy metal map a lot. Its enormous. As long as I don't end up having to run all the way. lol.
Saweet! Just hit rank 48 tonight. More maps are always a good thing!
EDIT: Woah. Did they change the Russian team from speaking Russian to English!?
If you got a decent PC then you can buy BFBC2 on the PC for £13 from Amazon or £20 from Steam, can't wait for this new map pack as well as the Vietnam expansion pack.
Is this getting a release in Australia?
Amazing game.
Salute to Dice.
Now only if I can get my PS3 version of Bc2 back =/
Bloody friend took it w/o me telling.
Oh well, till then I got my PC copy to hold me out :)
How can they call this the "Ultimate" edition when it doesnt even include SPECACT and Vietnam? That's just bull.
Why is IGN reviewing the same game twice? I think simply reviewing Onlsaught mode wold suffice. It's the only difference between the launch edition and the "Ultimate Edition"
