Treyarch: "Wager Matches are this year's Nazi Zombies"

OXM UK: When we got hold of Daniel Suarez, Executive Producer on Call of Duty: Black Ops at the recent multiplayer event, we thought we'd ask him about Nazi Zombies.

Killzone 2 had a good implementation of clan matches with wagering.
LOL thinking about it, same thing with MW2 borrowing mobile spawn points with its use of Tactical Insertions.

They have to bring back zombies, or maybe they'll come out with a totally new IP "Zombie Mode Game" or ZMG for short.

Being Activision wouldnt be suprising. Best part is it will also cost us 60 bucks, yet not be complete till you buy the 4 15 dollar "expansion packs." And! Next year we get ZMG2! This one is so badass that it gets monthly subscriptions for what ZMG1 offered!

I thought that Zombies were already confirmed, sounds to me like they are not saying it will replace zombies but rather that it will catch on the same way zombies did.

Yeah hasnt been confirmed that the zombie maps from the original will come in the hardened edition or something also? I think your right, they'll catch on just like zombies did. Thats my take on it also.

Alpha male only the coop maps are confirmed they never said anything about zombies but im pretty sure it's back and it's shame we dont get gore in multiplayer because of stupid tags and shit or some other lame memory excuse.

IIRC, They never confirmed any zombie maps.
Heck there was even an article about Treyarch 'busting' the zombie maps rumor.
I didn't bother reading it since I wasn't interested in BO back then.

But now I'm intrigued. (as long as it's not another WW2 FPS Lol)

Yes I would also like a Zombie mode to return. I mean wager match sounds like a blast, and the game would be even better if it had Zombies put in.

For a company that prides itself on "listening to the fans" if they don't put in Zombie mode... well they are just hypocrites

Everybody knows that Treyarch copied Counter Strike: Source with the idea of gun games and that progression idea.

So? Games copy other games, all the time. It makes them better. Treyarch took a great idea, and added it to their game. They didn't claim it as their own or say they invented it, they actually said it was from the community.

Actually they did. They claimed that they borrowed the idea from cod4. When it was the cs fans that brought it to the cod series.

The money system is essentially Warcraft 3 mod. Tbh the whole perk system is wc3 mod in disguise Sticks n stones is scouts n knives. Zombie mode is also from cs. S&D mode is all cs. C130 was stolen off a modder with no credit given. In fact YouTube had to shutdown a video as IW used footage from the mod and not their own game.

Cod devs are now just ripping off pc mods and bringing them to console. They are making money off mods that were created to be free of charge.

Hey, I respect them. This way they won't just go down in history as that 'company which was in infinity ward's shadow' but as 'that company that for a fleeting second could have stepped out of infinity ward's shadow but somehow convinced themselves that a game mode which is for all purposes just good ol' regular deathmatch is going to be more popular than a game mode where you can shoot nazi zombies in the face with a giant laser.'

I mean, shouldn't they get a special place in history for this kind of collosal stupidity? It takes a special kind of moron to ignore the one thing that made their product even remotely fuckin' interesting and replace it with something that actually strips down features to bare bones. That's exactly what the seventh game in a franchise needs.
