From Strategyinformer.com: "Civilization V's Lead Designer Jon Shafer isn't a particular fan of multi-platform titles, it seems.
Speaking to Strategy Informer last week, Shafer mentioned, in response to a question about Ubisoft's R.U.S.E. and motion control with strategy games, how he preferred seeing games tailored to individual platforms."
Civilization V continues to be one of the most popular grand-strategy games you can play on Steam, for about three years.
Love strategy but your processor and graphics card doesn't love you? The best strategy games for low-end PCs have you covered.
Philip Boyes:
When I was a kid, I played a lot of Civilization 2. I played a lot of strategy games in general, but having a deep love of both history and sci-fi, the epic sweep of Civ 2 from prehistory to the stars held a particular appeal. I loved taking my little people from their huts and ziggurats to the world of science and advanced space-flight.
Great to see a Developer being truth to it's platform. Thank god for sparing us all another terrible consol port.
Love you Sid.
I don't think there is much of a market for complex strategy games on consoles anyway, if you enjoy these type of games, you probably have a capable PC.
SOLD !
(since a long time actually ^^)
While it was great to have Civ on my PS3, I'm glad that this ones is for the PC.
I want the Civs of Old where you had to manage everything and it took you all day to complete the game.
"Jon Shafer: Didn't want to "compromise" Civ V by going multi-platform"
Good to hear that!
