PC Shooters You Should Play Instead of Halo Reach: Part 2

There are just four days left before Halo Reach comes out, and the internet is ablaze with tantalizing previews and secret accounts of life in the beta test. Your XBox fanboy friends are probably spending the their time trying to unlock every achievement in Halo ODST, but those of us who prefer our shooters on a PC can amuse ourselves with some great titles which never made it to the consoles. Every day until Halo Reach launches, Player Affinity will feature a different shooter that you can only play on PC.

I'm looking forward to Halo Reach as much as the next guy, but this is an opinion piece highlighting some excellent shooters on the PC. There's nothing wrong with that. All the focus has been on Halo Reach, why not shift focus away for a second and highlight some other, excellent shooters. What's the harm in that.

No where in the article does he say anything disparaging against Halo. You guys are getting your panties in a bunch over nothing. Did you even read the article? It's just a nice look at Stalker. That's it. And that's worth the 9 reports that this article has seen so far? Talk about sensitive.

Day 2, another game I already own on PC and am still getting Reach. Another PC series coming to consoles. I'm starting to think this guy is a butthurt PC fanboy. Tommorrow will probably be part of the Battlefield(not bad company) series. You don't have to be so mad that Crysis 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and Battlefield 3 are going to be on consoles from the start.

I love the Halo franchise, so I'm not going to hit agree or disagree on any posts nor will I comment good or bad on the story in terms of quality of writing because I know I'm going to be biased and say something fanboyish even if the story is written and researched very well (and for purposes of informing folks about high quality PC games, it is).

But I will say that irregardless of the fine quality of the story and these games that the timing of this particular story may put off a few of the fans of the Halo franchise.

Many fine shooters on the PC listed here and there is nothing wrong with that. I plan on getting some Reach time in on my 360 "as well"(not "instead").
