Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies, Battlefield 1943 and Assassin’s Creed 2: Bonfire of the Vanities are in contention for a prestigious Golden Joystick Award.
GF365: "Oftentimes, video games have characters who are antagonistic and really not very pleasant. Here are some of the friendliest characters in games where you might not otherwise expect to find them."
This weekend from August 10-14, players can play for free Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, Black Flag and Valhalla on Xbox, PlayStation and PC (availability dependent on platform).
EA: "As we close in on 15 years since the release of Battlefield 1943, and Bad Company™ 1 & 2, we are announcing that their journey is coming to an end."
This reminds me... I have ME on my PS3 hdd. Never really played it, but it was free.
On PC I don't think it's much of a problem but I'm sad to see BF43 being shut down. I haven't played it in a while since it's stuck on PS3, but i preferred it way more over BF3. It was the lack of invisible barriers which made it better for me.
Does anyone play the last BF anymore? I searched crossplay servers and it was 20 people the most on all the servers? Can never find a game
Pathetic nominations
AC: BotV - content rippped from the disk pre-release. It even fits in as a sequential chapter.
BF1943 - Okay this is a reasonably nomination, I didn't like it but people did.
COD:W@W - Zombies was already on the disc, the DLC was just new maps and minor variations, thereby the DLC can't take credit for the mode itself, just extra maps... which doesn't make it particularly special.
What about the borderlands DLC, 20hours of gameplay for £5.99. Or Dragon Age Awakening? that was pretty sweet.
For downloadble GOTY you think it should be a full game, and not DLC...
