Portal 2: Is It Worth The Hype?

GB writes: "Valve is probably the most exalted PC game developer in the market right now. Probably even more than Blizzard. Of course, Blizzard used to be totally invincible at a time- Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, and many others are till date regarded as some of the best PC games ever. But that is a thing of the past. Today, in the time of High Definition, of Graphics, of God of War and Halo, nothing, nothing at all beats Valve at PC games. With games as spectcular as Left 4 Dead, Half Life and Counter Strike, Valve are practically invincible now."

It's the best puzzle game out there. Sure it's worth the hype

I will like to see some puzzles first without a shadow of doubt the first one was amazing.

I really wonder if the media would be saying this if Portal 2 was exclusive to the 360, because both Portal and the 360-exclusive Portal: Still Alive were highly rated and well-loved by both journalists and gamers. Oh, but now the best console version will be on the PS3, so of COURSE we all have to question if it's worth the hype.

So, what's the deal? Is Portal 2 worth the hype when it looks 10 times better than the first portal?

lol It's one thing to be paranoid and wrong, it's another to post some BS like this. I'm even convinced you knew it was the latter while typing it, GWAVE.

and truth for me was its a $15 game that had very little replay value for me. I understood what made it fun and kinda cool but all part 2's need to step up the game and the format of this game doesn't seem like it can be improved on when i consider it is just a puzzle game with a funny robot making fun of you

If its down-loadable i will give it a serious look for purchase tho
