PAX 2010: Nexuiz – An Arena FPS You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

The guys at HBG were going through emails the week before PAX Prime and they saw a game title that caught their eye. They had no idea how to pronounce it, so they decided they would go and check it out. The game is a straight forward arena FPS that is similar to games like Unreal Tournament and Quake, but this one most of you have probably never even heard of.

Nice to see a new and fresh idea come into the arena FPS world. Will it be able to get past UT and Quake? Who knows, but it looks damn good and fun. I will be looking for more on this game in the future now.

My interest is definitely piqued. I hope it's going to be affordable for being an arcade title.

The guy we spoke with said the pricing was going to be around $10-$15

in Linux and Windows for a long time.

I have no interest in playing it on the PS3 now.

Yes it is, but does it use the CryEngine? I can understand if you want to keep playing the Quake 2 mod for it, but for new comers to this kind of game, this may be the place to start.

This game has been around for awhile. It's free to download and is pretty popular among Linux gamers.

It really isn't too well known though, which sucks cause it's a really fun game.

But this is about the newer one though. It's not out and it's being made with the CryEngine 3.

Holy Heat Spam Batman!

A.) Stop heat spamming. It's annoying. If N4G wants to read it, we'll get it to 50. Stop having your buddies add comments.

B.) Stop prefacing your articles with stupid tangets. No one cares you were checking your e-mail. Get right into the preview or don't bother writing at all.

Other than that, decent preview.

Jesus, someone needs to lay off the Hatorade, and take a deep breath for Christ sakes. How is this heat spamming? So we have people that are passionate for the site they read. I can think of plenty of other people according to you, "heat spam". By they way, I suggest you come up with a new name, because to mean it sounds like a lot a female dogs(bitches) are ready to get some action.
