8.8 review: GT Racing Academy HD puts Gameloft back on track

Reviewing a game like GT Racing Academy HD is tricky because quite frankly it is BRILLIANT. Presenting a balanced view without gushing like an excitable Pentecostal Preacher has meant me walking away from my laptop and having a coffee… The racing game genre is a very difficult market to crack as there are so many competitors. Gameloft has pitched its tent against such rivals as the fabulous Need For Speed, and has come out on the higher ground. GT Racing Academy HD tries to emulate a more realistic driving experience. This means the controls are more sensitive and it is initially trickier to drive. I like this though; it gives the game more longevity and a real sense of achievement as you progress
