how does MGS4 go from being #1 on the 2009 list, to #9?

How in the fuck is Arkham asylum better than God Of War 3 and MGS4??? What is the big deal about Batman Arkham Asylum? I despise that game and I don't know why. I thought it was very boring but alot of games are boring but I don't hate them. Everybody says it's so good but I just don't see it. It's the most overrated game this generation. They listed way too many games that didn't deserve to be in the top 25 because there are only 5 games left and there are more than 5 games that they haven't listed that absolutely must be in the top 25. Fuck this list.

Darkfiber2969d ago

You despise it and you don't know why? Gee, I dunno, maybe cause it's multiplatform? Here's an idea, don't wear your PS3 fanboyism on your sleeve, or in this case, your tag.

TheLastGuardian2969d ago

Hmmm If I don't like multiplatform games tthen why is RDR my second favorite game of this generation? I despise it for being so overrated. Everybody acts like it's so great but I just don't see it. I had the least amount of fun playing it then any other game this gen. I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Method2969d ago

Don't forget that Metal Gear Solid 4 is one of the only 3 games this generation that IGN scored a perfect 10/10.

IGN = most inconsistent website ever.

Im sorry but how on earth did batman make the top 10, and GTA beats mgs4, get out of here boys, mgs4 shits all over gta and batman. Maybe its time you get some fresh perspectives from some new guys, cause that list right there was just bs. And as for the other guy saying he didnt like gow 1 and 2, gtfo. Those games are awesome.

Philoctetes2968d ago

Having GTA4 in a Top 10 list of PS3 games is obviously retarded, but that game is still so overrated that I completely expected to see it on IGN's list anyway.

But Batman? Really? It was a fun game, I beat it twice, and I have nothing against it, but come on. I wouldn't have even considered this game for my Top 10. Putting this above MGS4 is a travesty.

Hopefully uncharted 2 is number #1, but GT5 wont be out in time to make it on the list...

Poseidon2969d ago

i want either demons souls or uncharted 2 to be number 1

EliteAssass1n2969d ago

I'm betting that Uncharted 2 will be #1. And i'm okay with that.

theafroman2969d ago

i actually dont want uncharted 2 to be up there kind of tire of it to be honest

cranium2969d ago

Uncharted 2 is the only non Metal Gear, non Ratchet and Clank game that I have beat 5+ times and managed to not get tired of it. I'm not sure if you meant that you were tired of the game itself, or that you were tired of it showing up in top X lists, but hey, to each his own.

Darkfiber2969d ago

I am SO tired of it, for both reasons. Playing it 3 times to get the platinum was painful. I don't know WHAT people see in that game, it's just a linear shooter. I can't play those more than once. I usually give up halfway through my second attempt. The story was okay for a video game but after you play it once, there's no real point in playing it again. And the actual gameplay itself is way too generic to play the game just for that. They wanted to tell a story, I respect that, but at least try and come up with some unique and fun gameplay to fill in between cutscenes, not just third person cover based shooter gameplay that you can find anywhere.

cranium2969d ago

To me, Uncharted 2 is so much more than an average TPS. It seamlessly blends scripted events with gameplay, has near-perfect pacing, the gameplay isn't too fast (CoD) or too slow (KZ2), and the platforming really goes a long way to break up combat segments and keep everything fresh. The characters are all believable and it has that tense, edge-of-your-seat action that keeps you coming back for more no matter how many times you've played it.
