Play-mag: "Embargoes have lifted on Move impressions and reviews. So here’s what I think, if you care. Which you probably don’t."

ofc it is,and that's why i gonna but it day 1!!!

Shazz4989d ago

why people still doubt sony when it comes to gaming is baffling to me, they prove themselves time and time again even after rough patches.

ForzaGT4989d ago (Edited 4989d ago )

its not just the games but more importantly they have proven over the years that they can produce proven hardware that is worth investing

buffig4989d ago

That's why I jumped on board after 3 years with the wii. The PS3 has been the best single piece of hardware I've ever owned. This is a day one purchase without hesitation.

Bobbykotickrulesz4989d ago

I think all three gaming companies have proven themselves quite nicely.

In fact, each generation held a different console of choice for me.

First it was the Nintendo, of course. Then I liked both the 64 and PS1 equally the same. RPGs on my PS1 and fun platformers on my 64. After that, people might think I'm crazy but I didn't like the PS2 much at all. I bought numerous systems and they always seemed to screw up on me. Last gen I loved the original Xbox most. With my introduction to a solid online experience, I was fucking hooked. This generation the PS3 is by far my favorite console. The 360 is much like the PS2 to me. It had potential but all the 'rough around the edges' bullshit turned me off to the console almost completely. I still own all three consoles, as I did in the previous generation, but my 360 and Wii rarely get used. Reach is creating an exception later this month.

Jdoki4989d ago

My preferred consoles in each gen don't quite match yours, but I agree with the sentiment, so well said! +bub.

It's good to be a gamer, not a fanboy.

blackpanther254989d ago (Edited 4989d ago )

Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, xbox, ps3

although dreamcast and xbox are from the same generation i decided to put them both since dreamcast died before the xbox came out lol

I like all the consoles that generation including the gamecube which had a lot of good games including zelda wind waker, double dash, baten kratos, and etc

beardpapa4989d ago

@shazz

remember? it's because sony is evil and wanted you to have two jobs to afford a ps3!

Denethor_II4989d ago

Its 360 owners who have invested a lot of time and money in their system which, lets be honest, has fallen by the wayside a wee bit recently, leading to fear and hate and then fanboyism.

fedex6824989d ago (Edited 4989d ago )

They make great hardware. I would rather choose a hardware made by a hardware company than a hardware made by software company.

Denethor_II4989d ago

I have a great Sony Bravia and HD surround sound system that can testify to that statement. Sony is king.

All reviews were very positive. However, I must admit that I'm not drawn to sports championship and games like that. I prefer Move in SOCOM 4, KZ3 and action games in general. I believe that Move will be brilliant there. So what I am hoping is that developers in general implement Move support in action games for PS3. Move should allow for a greater level of precision than standard controller.

Jdoki4989d ago

I'm just hoping for some unique titles that really take advantage of motion controls. Those types of games are few and far between on Wii.

3sq4989d ago

Same here, I'll get Move when KZ3 is released and I'm hoping for a horror game (Siren 3) with Move integrated from Sony.

WIIIS14989d ago

I dunno, I seem to recall a lot of hate for motion controls, what did some call the Wii - a gimmick?

strickers4989d ago

Problem is Wii never did what it said on the tin and the games on Wii are poor compared to PS3.Yes,I do own both.Wii is wholly and gesture based, not what was promised. No,Motionplus is not a good argument, about 3 games use it and it's still not as accurate as Move.

Games4M - Rob4989d ago

Exactly. Only game i played on the Wii with decent motion controls was Resident Evil 4, everything after that was pants.

WIIIS14988d ago

So what games have you played using Move that delivered what was promised?

Microsoft Xbox 3604989d ago (Edited 4989d ago )

You got it all wrong. Most of the hate came from the gimmicky first attempt at motion controls aka "waggle" from the Wii. Nobody actually hated the idea of 1:1 motion controls. That's what most core gamers expected at minimum, not the random waggle BS we've seen prior to Motion+.

Oner4988d ago

I posted this yesterday but it fits here as well ~

There is no hypocrisy. Only the one that you have made up in your little "world".

The Wii has been condemned since day 1 when people learned about it's inaccuracy! NOT because of it's "motion controllability experience". If you will not attempt to reasonably understand that, then you are simply just covering your ears, stomping your feet screaming NO, NO, NO, NO, NO in an immature fit.

The PS Move shows/proves that "motion controllability" is BETTER when it's done properly BECAUSE of it's accuracy (and because it can do more for/with said capability)...the way it should have been done to begin with.

Anyone who has given Super Mario Galaxy 1 a try would be able to say honestly the experience was quite amazing (similar to how Super Mario 64 was)...while playing Wii sports would be more of an "Eh? WTF is this BS?". Now that is not to say that Wii Sports isn't fun. But it's based off casual input mechanics, not what CORE players come to expect and even demand. There is the difference right there and why you are claiming "hypocrisy"...but that's incorrect.

Wow. This article is like 5 years too late?

And also? The Wonderbook games, namely the two Harry Potter ones, Book of Spells and Book of Potions, were probably the best Move games... yet this article doesn't mention them.

Mr_cheese2625d ago

Resistance 3 doesnt get a mention either and that game was brilliant when used with the sharp shooter

bu3ouf912625d ago

Ha, I felt the same 😂👌

FyBy2625d ago

So Sony please remake Sports champions.....pleeeeeease :-)

No Crash Bandicoot or Syphon Filter?

bggriffiths3142d ago

Think Activision currently own Crash license. Which is a waste really if they're not going to use it. Not that the last game they did with it was any good.

donwel3142d ago

Activision own Spyro as well don't they?
I seem to remember the Skylanders franchise starting as a Spyro spin off.

Abnor_Mal3142d ago

i would like a reboot/remake of G-Police and Colony Wars, and of course Syphon Filter. Wouldnt mind a remake of Nightmare Creatures and Jet Moto. Theres more games but those are a few that i would be really happy to get on PS4.

Der_Kommandant3142d ago

I'd have loved to see a new Colony Wars on PS4.

FarEastOrient3142d ago

A reboot with VR is perfect for Colony Wars!

donwel3142d ago

Was was already rebooted on PS3 in 2012.

Yui_Suzumiya3142d ago (Edited 3142d ago )

Re-reboot

Oops, beat me to it :3
