GamesTM writes: "Burnout 3 sits comfortably among our favourite racing games of all time, so to learn that it might never have happened if it weren’t for a cancelled Skate Or Die remake was something of a shock for us. We met the team that worked on the project and heard all about the hardships and hurdles that led to its cancellation. When the team finally decided it was time to walk away, there was a very real danger that Criterion would irreparably damage its chances of ever working with EA again."
Licensing issues often leave many games forgotten. But all that aside, here are 10 classic games desperate for remasters.
The getaway
Smugglers run
Dead to rights
Worlds scariest police chases
Sure I’m missing a few.
Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson stated in a recent EA Earnings Call, that the next Battlefield "it is going to be another tremendous live service.”
Another? ANOTHER?
Is he honestly trying to make out like the last Battlefield was a huge success, not just as a game but as a live service game? I'm sure these guys live in their own echo chambers, they are so far removed from reality or they just like talking out of their arse trying to rewrite history.
Also why say such a tone deaf statement when you know the state of live service games at the minute and how many gamers feel about them. Bigging up the next BF game as live service does not give me any excitement or hype.
It's time for EA to bring back Road Rage. And Crash Mode, for that matter.
I absolutely loved this game. It was my favourite in the series, even over Paradise!
Go play it then. Should be able to find a PS2 copy for less than $5.
Stop wishlisting games that already exist. Stop doing EA's marketing department's work for them.
Funny enough last weekend I was playing PS2 game, burnout 3. First time in years. Fond memories.
I loved Skate or Die when i was younger, too bad it was cancelled.
