Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is on the way

Yup, I was interested in Borderlands and thinking about getting it shortly after release when it was on sale for $40 or so but I kept telling myself "Wait, they'll have a GOTY edition witht he DLC like FO3 and LBP, I just know they will"

the GOTY edition has a bonus map- thats not really fair, people who loyally downloaded the DLC's should get the bonus map as well

No doubt. Thus far I've spent 90 dollars on Borderlands. Why don't I get some free stuff Gearbox?

I've been waiting for this game to come out with a Game of the Year Edition. Gahhh I need to beat four games before I pick this up because I'm sure I'll get addicted.

if gearbox does do this game, i'll consider it a write off. borderlands was ported to the ps3 & it showed. when i trolled their forums the devs only listed xbox gamer tags on their profiles, no psn id's. moderators on their forums would change users forum posts when the dev was called out on ca$hing in on dlc, even tho the game had some major issues @ that time. (ex. broken friends list & inv system.) i have no respect or interest in dev's who make broken sub par games, cash in on dlc before a fix & alter user statements on their forums... lol, i was banned for life for calling them "queerbox". really a second rate game maker.

Great. Another game I got at release getting a GOTY edition. Its like people who don't support the game when released get the better edition of the game with all the DLC, and normally for less price.
Buy a game at release supporting it and get shafted with DLC or wait a while and get the game with all the DLC cheaper than original price of game. It's just not right or fair for the people who purchased the game at release.

Unfortunately DLC is used in a shortsighted way to get more cash, and not in way that creates good feelings from consumers. I wonder if companies will start seeing diminishing returns with DLC. I for one, buy hardly any DLC anymore, because I think it is mostly used to scam customers.

thats good news,i havnt played it since i finished the one time,i was waitn to get back into it once a goty came out,i wasnt gonna pay for the extra d/l cause it should hve been in the game,hope ur save from the orig game can be transfered over to the goty ed

I love how developers think they can make a goty edition when their game wasn't game of the year.

I LOVE Borderlands, but:

Will the DLC be included with the GOTY on DISC or will it just be a card with a download code like RE5 GOTY, and Gears of War 2 GOTY were on 360? because if the DLC isn't on a disc then I have no reason to buy this GOTY.

on discs on ps3 and a code on 360. just like re5. i think thats what i heard

It will be the same as the fallout goty edition for 360, with the dlc included on an extra disc

I was hyped when the game released but it turned out to be boringlands for me hope rage does a better job.

did this even win any goty?? i hadn't heard it ... at least arkham asylum won ONE...uncharted 2 didn't even come out with goty and they won most of them
