The Old Testament makes its way to a browser-based game
Religion is everywhere, but it’s not a very common theme in videogames. Besides the lone religious character or a group of Christians here and there, it’s still something that most developers shy away from.
But GodStoria: The Bible Online is all about religion, or so it would seem.
Religion could be introduced in a subtle way if writers took the time to think about it. It's tough to find a game so calculated as the likes of...Gran Turino (1st one that came to mind) when including popular religions.
FiAA have today announced the official release of The Bible Online, the first browser game based on the world view and scenarios from the Bible. Today, The Bible Online starts its official service in English and German. The translation into other languages is planned. Free of charge, the game will be serviced in Europe and Israel.
Rate A-O for "Adults Only," right? I mean, dude, the Old Testament is full of some heavy themes.
I'm looking at you, Lot's daughters.
During its beta The Bible Online: Chapter 1 quickly gained popularity, and already a large and active community has developed. Users appreciate the depth of the game as well as the thematic background and the publisher’s efforts to seek direct contact with the community and to listen and respond to their suggestions and requests.
Yes! do we get to strike down non- believers?
