If only APB had this amount of publicity before it was released... Maybe they would have sold copies and wouldn't have suffered the closure.

I didn't hear anything good about the 360 yet, besides halo reach......

Losing $2 million a month - way to put pressure on an untested game...

nickjkl5406d ago (Edited 5406d ago )

i think apb is the biggest failure in gaming

come on in development for 7 years and spending over 100 million for development and still couldnt get the game done thats gotta hurt for the people that gambled and put up the money for that

@ freckles not to mention gta4 was multiplatform

thing that makes me sad is it looked like a great idea but was poorly executed from the reviews ive been reading

Feckles5406d ago

$100 million is GTA IV-type money. For that you'd expect a GTA IV-style game and GTA IV-style revenues. And to risk all that money on a new IP? Who on earth made that decision?

The same guy that started the GTA franchise.

Trunkz5406d ago

At least the GTA-IV was on consoles as well, this was 100 million on a PC only title XD

il-mouzer5405d ago

WOW costed around the same and it's a PC only game, it's not the platform thats the problem it's the game - the shooting mechanics were just horrible as was the driving.

Im sorry but i was under the impresison that APB begfan development after they finished Crackdown. Thus it could not have been in development for more than three years. Can you provide a link that states that APB was in development for seven years?

Zachmo1825406d ago

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
