Parasite Eve could come to PS3

Speaking to VideoGamer.com at gamescom, 3rd Birthday executive producer Kitase-San has suggested Parasite Eve could find its way to the PS3 in the future. It seems it all depends on the success of PSP exclusive 3rd Birthday, due this Holiday.

"The team had a lot of experience and knew a lot about making a game for PSP which is why we chose PSP as the platform for this game," Kitase-San told VideoGamer.com. "But if this game turns out to be a success then we’d be looking at extending the franchise into ps3."

I would love to see this happen but I would also love to see the game go back to it's roots.

As good as the 3rd Birthday looks it kinda doesn't feel like a Parasite Eve game.

The game play is similar to what we saw in Parasite eve 2 which is great but in terms or tone and look it doesn't feel like Parasite Eve. The horrifyingly disturbing mutation sequences from the first 2 games seem to be no where as the new enemy(the twisted) don't look or seem to have anything to do with the original crazy messed up things in the first 2 games.

It's kinda sad because it almost seems like a new franchise now because they are not doing so much with the horror as opposed to the action. The only 2 things keeping it a Parasite Eve game in my mind are Aya being the main character and the Gun focused combat.

Still got may day one purchased PS originals in mint condition, I loved Parasite Eve. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and keep my wait and see stance. Hopefully if it proves a success, they can do something cool with the current gen consoles.

Yeah I still have both my PS copies as well(I think I have 2 copies of PE 2 for some reason)

I would love to see the series be on the PS3 just to see the series grow in scope. It's just fact that they could do so much more on PS3. Despite my thoughts about the game I will still be picking it up day one when it comes out because as I said the game could be more true to the series then the trailer makes it seem.

The game is sure to be incredible regardless and I am still very much looking forward to it.

Parasite Eve Collection.

My Mum played Parsite Eve years ago, but she didn't get on with it. The concept looked good, but I never tried it myself.

I would try it if it came to PS3. I do own a PSP, so I could get 3rd Birthday. However I don't know any of the story details, so it may be a waste of time.

Based on what we know and stuff like the trailers it seems story won't be a issue if you want to try 3rd Birthday as the game seems to have nothing to do with the first 2 games in the series story wise.

While there is a chance it has some link based on what we have seen it seems to have nothing to do with PE 1 and 2.

Sadly I garuntee this game will be pirated like crazy because it's on psp, it would sell better as a PSN game because you can't pirate those.

Still I want to see it come to Ps3 along with many many other psp games.

I would love for a true Parasite Eve sequel to be released.

I hope Squenix solves its copyright issues and places PE1+2 on the PSN. Even if its for a limited time ony.

I love parasite eve!! not sure about the new name though. If this comes to PS3,it will also come to the 360... Square is the New Capcom...

If the franchise lands on the PS3, and the director is Nomura, I highly doubt it will also be available on the 360. I forgot where I read it, but one SE person was quoted as saying that Nomura likes to concentrate on only one platform when developing games.

SE, do you know what you need to revive next? Vagrant Story or another Musashi game. Samurai Legend Mushashi wasnt that good compared to Brave Fencer Musashi.

Yes, an excellent series no less. But as a consumer standpoint, after hearing this, I expect to wait out until there is a big success on the PSP (**Looks at Japan) before I even want to warrant this purchase once it's available on the PS3.
