Yeah, they're probably not using the Cell at all, just the GPU to run this game, but nonetheless this game coming to the PS3 is a pretty big deal. It's about as big as Final Fantasy 13 going to the 360, except this game is probably better than FF 13.

I don't know why anyone would actualy go out and buy a 360 now that it's more obvious it only has a small handfull of true honest exclusives.

I'm not a fanboy, and I love all my consoles but...

there is a long list of multi platform games that look / perform better on 360, also the online is better. There are also some great Arcade titles on the 360 that are not available on PS3.

A lot of 360 fans were comparing an ME announcement to the MGS4 rumors. LOL. Well, PS3 fans get ME2, yet MGS4 will never be on the 360.

The PS3 engine? It uses Unreal Engine. It should perform perfectly well on the PS3 if it's handled correctly.

Probably the PS3 version is being developed for some time already. Anyone remember the hidden PS3 code? hopefully EA and BioWare are expereinced enough with UE3 and the PS3. Looking forward to see how it shapes.

Its a multiplatform engine, few small tweaks is all thats needed. And the ps3 code was right there in the pc version, not hidden.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Mass Effect was the only game PS3 fanboys envied on 360.

Its the only reason i bought a secondhand 360 (which I regret now) and its still the only 360 game I own VS. 40+ PS3 titles.

No PS3 fanboys called this game mediocre. PS3 owners actually just stressed the fact it's multiplat when 360 owners touted it as exclusive. Now all of a sudden, it's all "you didn't steal and exclusive, it's always been exclusive"...so now that ME2 is for a console you despise, PC is suddenly relevant? Oh please. Cry me a river. Will be picking up ME1 cheap to play on my bro's 360 which will tide my over to the release of ME2 for PS3 in January. Happy gaming!

There is hypocrisy on both sides.

Anyway, it was a console exclusive, but now it is also on the PS3 so it is no longer a 360 console exclusive. PS3 and 360 are mostly fighting for the same market. This is why console exclusives do matter. Not as much as full exclusives, but definitely more than multiplatform games that are also found on the competing console.

Everybody knows this instinctively and that is why so many people are celebrating this as a victory of the PS3 over the 360. If it were truly just a straight up multiplatform title then nothing has changed with it being on the PS3 and there is no reason to act like it is a blow to the 360. People, in that case, would just be happy they get another great game on the PS3 and wouldn't be saying things like "the PS3 took another exclusive from the 360". It's seems obvious to me that the distinction of console exclusive does have meaning. For that reason, this IS a great victory for the PS3.

All I hope is for ME2 to be a good port.. meaning exactly equal or better than the 360 version.. I loved ME2, i use to trash talk that game to all my friends but after playing it i found out it was probably the best game i ever played.. but pls be a good port.. its hard for me to get excited for multiplatform games on ps3 because they are terrible, and when ever ps3 gets the better version of a port its usually of a garbage game like FFXIII or darksiders.. I buy this on ps3 again if they port this right!!!

agree with you on it being a good port, but FFXIII and Darksiders are far from being Garbage games, FFXIII under a non Final Fantasy name would be praised for its gameplay and graphics at least(as with the high review scores), and Darksiders is a really good game by itself(again with the good review scores).
