According to the in-game store on Battlefield Bad Company 2, VIP Map (Mode) Pack 6 will launch tomorrow. This pack includes
Another half assed Map Pack, Nothing for Conquest or FULL Rush players, which is the majority. Thank God its the last one....
They are MODE PACKS that let you play different game modes on maps you currently have. It's a cheap way to make it look like you still support your community and are making new content. But most people can see the scheme they're trying to pull.
I agree with you and DERKADER,jriquelme completely Dice needs to step up their game and give us a real map pack, not a different game mode on the same maps.
FAIL. Mode already on the disc unlock pack
It's not on the disk.
It's also not a map pack. It's a "play modes on maps you already have" pack.
so... Squad Rush and Squad Death Match modes are not on the disc? And Panama Canal and Laguna Presa maps are not on the disc? I played a looooot this game... but this "map pack" thing is BS! http://bfbcs.com/stats_ps3/...
actually it is. You just have to connect to a server running the map on the X date, and you're good to go. And no, you don't download it from the server
... Still no ACTUAL new maps.. And why does EA continue to call 'em Map Packs.. Kinda retarded if you ask me lol
There aren't many locations as such in the game but the rush, CTF and deathmatch maps based on the same locations are different. The thing is with BFBC2 is that it has destructible environments so it's always interesting, the gameplay changes over the course of a match. Plus I think I've only paid for one piece of DLC, the Co-op pack which was worth every MS point. Free stuff to extend the life of the game=win.
Because it's EA! Dice is not impressing me either lately though..
VIP? lol, what a failure that was.
Don't play either game mode so don't care.
I only play Conquest or Rush(normal). So no biggie for me. I agree, VIP is a failure, we should have at least got some new maps for buying at release.
Yay... maps for game modes I dont even play. Show me Vietnam. BF3, medal of honour, EA are stretching DICE to thin.
so this is free correct.. now fix what they are calling a MAP pac to what it really is a MODE pac of rehash
It's free if you have a VIP code, yes. Sadly, they said there won't be any brand new maps coming out for Bad Company 2. If you want new maps, you'll have to buy Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam.
Isn't BF Vietnam a expansion pack that udownload tho
I'm pretty sure you download it, yes. It'll probably be 15-20 dollars. EA is crazy to ask more than that for an expansion pack. But, I wouldn't be too surprised.
Hopefully they will release more maps for Vietnam, 4 is going to be fine for a while.
It should be called "unlock a pre-loaded game mode on a disc which I already purchased DLC."
these arent map packs.
I can see why everybody is bitching about it, but I actually love Squad DM, and Panama Canal is my favourite map. I actually got the game recently, so everything is still fresh and exciting to me. It would be sweet if DICE made a map pack, free or not tho.
This is bullshit!!! This is EA's failed attempt to combat used game sales. They say "Buy this game new and we will reward you with new content through free future DLC." When in fact it's all the opposite(buy the game new or else we will lock off content or make buy a vip pass for the content that was already on the the disk to begin with). So quit calling them map pack releases.
Woo-hoo.... another piece of garbage mode pack. Yee-ha.
I don't consider that garbage. I wish it was a new map...but you know...
So I guess it's kind of nice they're not being distracted with map packs right now.
I love me some Battlefield Bad Company 2 but I don't won't no stinking maps. I want Battlefield 3 in all it's DX11 glory. but DICE is working on too many things right now BFBC2 Vietnam Battlefield 3 Medal of honor(multiplayer) Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 1943 PC rumored they have over 200 employees but jesus christ stick to one thing...... Battlefield 3 and it's DX11 glory
