Sony Computer Entertainment America and SUBWAY have announced the Fiery Footlong Frenzy Fueled by PlayStation, where prizes are given away through the promotion to those who order SUBWAY’s spiciest sandwiches to date”, the Fiery Footlong subs.
By the time this thing releases, I'm not going to be able to purchase food without being reminded of the PS Move.
I haven't eaten Subway in a while. Spicy Italian is the best.
Sweet onion Chicken Teriyaki is the best..
Coke & Subway, eh? Not bad at all. I'd imagine they teamed up with Coke because they're the most well-known brand in the world and Subway for those health freaks who are looking for an alternative to working out. Good mix, I guess.
USA only.. as always....
Watch, Jared will be back playing some Move fitness game while eating a low-fat sub. Here's an idea... a subway eating game with a plastic periph which looks like a sub that you slip the Move into.
Whatever happened to being able to purchase Papa Johns from your PS3? That was pretty cool. =)
Use the internet browser
1. That wasn't from your PS3, that was from EQ2. 2. You can order any pizza from the PS3 browser.
Sony has been terrible at marketing their peripherals, this, along with the coke deal, will really help cement the product in the minds of the populace
Can't wait to get my spice on.
I thought Sony was aiming to profit from Move, why would they want to give so many away. Edit: Wow $1ml worth!! Thats a lot of wasted profit, especially if Move is as good as they say.
In all likelihood they are making a nice sizable profit on each one sold. But you can't sell things without good marketing. Sony's marketing hasn't been the best thus far but promotions like this are what cement products into the minds of everyday consumers.
It would be better if they teamed up with Jimmy Johns, they have much better subs! The bread isn't nearly as thick so you can actually taste the fillings!
While that's true... ...it's nowhere near as popular as Subway. It's like TGI Friday vs. McDonald's. Obviously, one is better. They want to market to the larger audience, however.
... I hate spicy food though. :( Dang it, Sony! What the frick? Why can't someone with good taste in food win a 3DTV from you?
PirateThom No, that's good marketing "NO GAMES, BUT FREE XBOX 360'S FOR EVERYONE!" In a nutshell.
and space panchos
Actually, Sony may have a lot of faith in Move as a product and are backing it up with great advertisements
Wait a minute let me get this straight... Sony gets criticised for it's lack of marketing... ...Sony teams up with Subway and Coca-Cola... ... and gets criticed for it's marketing... I think it's time for the ignorant fanboys in the house to just STFU already! I'm looking at you Omega, for fcuk sake get a life. There's more to it than M$ and your precious xbox360!
First of all Zir0,Omega4 and happyface you should read articles more carefully. It isn't one million dollars in Move controllers. It's one million in Sony devices and games. They could be giving away only 4 Move controllers for all we know. Second I knew if Sony started increasing the level of its advertising that haters would find someway to put a negative spin on it. And finally between this, the Coca Cola promotions, the brochures explaining what the Move is, the nationwide kiosks plus the Kevin Butler commercials, I am sure are incoming, soon everyone will know what Move is. MOVE IT!
Halo: Reach + Mountain Dew = A-OK. http://www.examiner.com/gam... Sony + Subway + Coke = Can't even give away Move?
As if the reference to the Move being a dildo weren't enough, they're promoting it with foot longs... ;)
Glad that Sony is finally doing some good marketing. Coke and Subway just for PS Move...
How long will the coke and subway deal last ???
LOL @ ppl complaining fact is competitions that give away a decent ammount of a product are the best. It builds demand for the product and gives a high chance of actually winning one. Why can they do it!? because move doesn't cost $150 a piece and sony are making a profit from move @ launch the technology in move has been in mass production for a LONG time. MS are taking a hit even with a gimped kinect.
I hope they are giving away free copies of Haze w/ move support. No, but seriously, i'm very happy Sony is starting to take their marketing a little more seriously. It has been frustrating watching them slack a lil here in the states. Hopefully it will pick up and they will really smoke the competition like i think they should. Preordering move now just because I can. Peace
