Rage Preview - Eurogamer

Eurogamer: "For now though, as it pretty much always is with this storied developer, it is all about that graphics engine. Staring into the screen and struggling to pick out a single repeated detail, 60 times every second, is almost disorientating. If the kids don't know who id Software any more, they should do by this time next year."

im telling you, you cant trust that carmack

http://www.cubed3.com/topic...

"the only thing sony has going for it over the 360 is data storage on the blu ray"

like come on people hype this guy up to be a genuis of coding but says the 360 is better than ps3 in every aspec but data storage like there is something seriously wrong with the way he speaks about playstation in every interview and that includes the ps2

That is a rather old article (2008), pretty sure guy didnt even know back in those days how to code properly on the PS3. Several outstanding PS3 exclusives have happened and some others will, before RAGE finally see the light of the day.

There are more recent articles from Carmack btw, where the tune is different.

what about this 2009 interview

http://www.next-gen.biz/new...

“The rasteriser is just a little bit slower – no two ways about that. The RSX is slower than what we have in the 360. Processing wise, the main CPU is about the same, but the 360 makes it easier to split things off, and that’s where a lot of the work has been, splitting it all into jobs on the PS3.”

"the main cpu is about the same"

I dont buy it. Yet 2010 is lmost over. There are some interviews, I wont bother to look, Carmack stated they have been sweating hard on the PS3. That only translate to me as "we are just learning how to do things properly".
