Way back in March 2009 rebounded game designer Ron Gilbert revealed that the previously episodic DeathSpank was no longer going to be episodic. A year and a half later, that may no longer be the case as a new achievement list for a game titled DeathSpank: T.O.V has appeared.

In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts IGN reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total including those already reported at Respawn.
Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....
This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.
Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
Deathspank's charm started to wear thin after the 30th 'fetch item X' mission. That being said, I'm curious about a sequel; it should be interesting.
I enjoyed the game and it did leave it on an odd note so a dlc or a new game will be welcome.
It's clear that the game will have a sequel. I hope that is an expansion though. So the Map will expand but you can still travel back and forth. Maybe even have more side mission in DeathSpank 1's areas. I don't want a DeathSpank 2...I want Deathspank to expand. Just please don't milk it as DLC, give us another 8-10 hours of gaming for around 10-15 bucks.
I was actually very sad when I finished DEATHSPANK - I'll miss the odd world he inhabits and found most of the humour to be genuinely 'laugh out loud', so hope for more games or DLC. After all, there are plenty of evil thongs still out there to be liberated...
