E4G: The amount of exhibitors at the Gamescom event in Germany has risen to 480 for this years event, as organsiers prepare to host 220 foreign companies at the joint trade and public event.
Germany is Europe’s 3rd largest gaming market, behind France and the UK. Every month the German trade organization BIU provides awards honoring the top selling video games in the country. Games that manage to sell between 100,000-200,000 copies are given the BIU Gold Award, sales ranging between 200,000-500,000 earn a Platinum and for those that make it to 500,000 or more they are granted with a special award.
During the month of November there were several major releases in Germany including Call of Duty: Black Ops, Gran Turismo 5 and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Which one took the top spot?
Meh who cares and EU and JAP, lets be ignorant and just focus on USA since USA = world. /s
wonder how are they doing in France i have a feeling that BF is not doing good in france.
The BIU Sales Award in Germany have honored Electronic Art’s FIFA with both the Platinum and Gold award.
CVG: Microsoft has just released a neat bundle of Corvette-related Halo: Reach screens from Gamecom.
It will be quite interesting to see once everything is set up.
I hope they announce something good at Gamescom, would be a waste of the event if nothing new is happening :(
I don't think Sony can top their showing at Gamescom last year. The PS3 slim was a major announcement. Though I would love to see some new hardware revealed.
Might reveal white 160gb ps3 and 320gb normal ps3 to replace the old 120gb/250gb model according to this.

Adding to that is a price cut to the old models for clearance and more games announced.
