Capcom is, at the moment, the dominant force in the fighting game industry. There's no sense in denying it, regardless of what style of fighter you may prefer. From their popular Versus series of games (Marvel vs Capcom, Tatsunoko vs Capcom), to their original IPs such as Street Fighter, they're successfully holding a lead that most other developers would die for. But is their position really that hard to reach? Is there a secret formula to Capcom's success that no other developer can copy? Not really, it just takes a little bit a time and listening to a few of your fans to ensure a spot as number one.
Capcom Spotlight is just around the corner: tune in to see the latest titles being shown off by the Japanese masters.
New IP, please. Used to be (in the 80s) if it was a Capcom game, you knew it was good.

One of the highlights of FanimeCon 2025 was the Capcom cosplay gathering.
Capcom has removed GFWL from PC versions of Lost Planet 1 and 2 as well as other titles on Steam alongside support for online features.
Other devs do indeed need better online community support. Seems like Capcom's is the best thus far.
It's amazing how many fighting games they've released.
mortal kombat should give them a run for their money, that game's getting a lot of attention.
I don't know, maybe I'm part of a small minority, but Soul Calibur and Tekken and even the old Bloody Roar titles are my games of choice in this genre.
The difference here is that Capcom developed a really good Street Fighter game while Namco's latest sequels were rather disappointing, especially Tekken 6.
I think Mortal Kombat is going to bring some competition. Cannot wait for that game, and I want to see some more footage, BAD
