Fans of the Scott Pilgrim Comics are no doubt excited about the upcoming film. And like most major films these days, its getting a video-game.
However, with so many movie tie-in games being sub-par, you’d be forgiven for being less then excited about it. Well think again.
From Xfire: "You'd think that there would be more good comic book video games (outside of the obvious superhero ones) released over the years, but the truth is, they are quite rare. Thankfully, a growing number of studios are tapping into this valuable resource to bring audiences the best comic book video games."
Re-releasing Scott Pilgrim vs The World doesn't fix things quite that easily.
"But because of some absolute scumbags at the top, I can’t in good conscience even think about giving this company a dollar at the moment. It would be like if Konami suddenly announced that PT and Silent Hills was coming back that would be great, but you also have to wonder what made them changed their mind."
You really did not have much to go on, but that just exposed how out of touch, fan news driven and un-industry you are. I get that you think that your heros can do no wrong and all, but get back to gaming kiddo. Squeak on.
Meanwhile, they are looking for contributors to deliver more of this. :/
'Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game' Remaster Coming From Ubisoft.
I had this on PS3. Absolutely a treasure and all the homages to retro gaming was brilliantly executed. If you want a beat ‘em up that feels a bit like Shovel Knight in its retro love and a River City Rampage RPG, this is for you.
Literally played through and 100%'d River City Girls and literally said to myself, they really need to rerelease Scott Pilgrim or I'm pulling out my PS3 again with it on it. IMO the best beat em up I've ever played. So happy, I legit may buy on switch, ps4 and PC
Probably the best game Ubisoft released for the past decade. The only digital game I've ever pre-ordered with no regrets. Fantastic game, not sure if I'll buy it again since I have my PS3 readily available.
If you enjoyed Turtles in Time, or Streets of Rage in the past, then don't let this game pass you by!
The movie is directed by Edgar Wright (Cornetto trilogy) and is quirky and great fun.
The game is also great retro fun and has been unavailable for years as it was delisted from the PS3 store. Will definitely pick it up for PS4.
Is it odd that I never watched the movie, and read a bit of the first volume of the graphic novel and found it kind of boring, but love the game? I still have this on my PS3 actually. I never did get the DLC though so I'm glad this is happening. Now I just have to decide if I want it on my PS4 or Switch.
its a fun game really old school feel to it
I didn't know it was coming out today. Also in the picture, can anyone figure out what they are saying in the bottom right?
I just really wish it had online co-op.
Seriously is that too much to ask?
Sure it's fun to play with your friends, but it sucks when you live 300 miles away from your friends that you used to play old school beat em ups with (like streets of rage, golden axe, x-men arcade, TMNT arcade and simpsons arcade).
I want to play it, but i'm holding out in hopes that they release and online co-op patch.
I enjoyed it much more than I wanted to I think. It turned out very good, very addicting and very much River City Ransom 3. I believe they had a RCR2 already is the reason I say 3. I think it is the direct descendant of it. Isn't as valuable as Deathspank is in quality and what is possible on the PSN/XBL services (psn more so cause they don't limit developers on size) but Scott Pilgrim is a fine throw back game done just about right. I was certainly wrong about it and I'm glad I'm addicted to PSN store buying or I wouldn't have bought it. Just tonight I bought some 40 bucks worth of content. I swear I don't even play the stuff either. It's a diversion for rainy day weather I guess?
If you're on the fence about Pilgrim, jump off it and buy it. Damn good game I feel anyone can find fun and accessible in burst for short or long periods of time. The replay value of the game is actually pretty high and some of the nods to our gaming past are worth a look. The original coin op boot up screen. The warp pipes. The coin boxes. There is some really sharp nods here.
scotty pilgrim shines again i DL this game and i have to say its far too delicious
