They all bought in when it looked like gaming was experiencing limitless growth during COVID. Now that reality has set in and the gaming audience isn’t actually expanding very much, they’re backing out with practically zero concern for how damaging it will be to any of the individuals involved.

On the plus side, big money getting out of gaming en masse will be devastating in the short term but likely a highly positive development going forward. Less pressure on games being purely money printing exercises, potentially. We shall see.
