GFB: "The 90s were filled with gaming mascot centered games chasing the fame of Mario and Sonic. Aero the Acrobat was Sunsoft and Iguana Entertainments hope; a title based on a circus performer trying to save it from renegade clowns. Aero is one of the more remembered mascot failures spawning a sequel and a spin off."
Ratalaika Games has brought back Aero the Acrobat for fans to enjoy. And despite its problems, it's not bad for a $6 adventure.
If you are looking to reminisce about the 16-bit generation but without any of the obvious big names of the time, Aero the Acrobat just barely fits the bill.
I'm happy that Sunsoft is making more effort towards gaming preservation, so I happily picked this up yesterday actually on the Switch bc it had a launch sale on top of already being cheap at 5.99 reg. Like the article says though, I do have a soft spot for the game bc I owned it back in the 90s. After playing it some last night, I had some fun which mostly bc of my nostalgia for it. I couldn't really recommend it for the younger generation though, unless you just have a dying curiosity about gaming history. Now, let's get some of Sunsoft's better titles, like a Batman collection! I loved NES Batman and Batman Return of the Joker.
It's time to swing into action again as Aero the Acro-Bat launches on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
