Warhammer: Mark of Chaos for Xbox 360

German ratings board USK has spilled the beans on a Warhammer: Mark of Chaos port for Xbox 360.

Warhammer: Mark of Chaos is a real-time strategy title based around the popular Games Workship franchise. It was developed by Black Hole Entertainment for PC and released last November to middle of the road reviews.

This is Great, Ive got it on PC but my PC hates me.

I just hope they get the control scheme right.

Bolts6519d ago

How can this be great? RTS sucks for consoles and it's impossible to get the controls right thus having to dumb it down to nothing. Every great PC RTS game that came out for consoles is nothing more than an empty shell of it a former self. This problem is further compounded by the fact that Mark of Chaos itself wasn't a really a great RTS to begin with.

cookiemonster6519d ago

why are you complaining so much? if you don't like rts on consoles, you're not obliged to play them.

WilliamRLBaker6519d ago

I've never had a problem with RTS games for console, Maybe they suck because you suck at playing them?

I've not ever felt them to be gimped i am able to do all most every thing on Tiberiam wars and the LOTR rts games on the 360 that i can on the pc versions.

I've played all the rts games for the consoles. starting with one of the originals...DUNE for genesis...and i had no problem playing that.

wait... wait... wait... is this another RTS game (my favorite genre after RPG and between FPS?) for the xbox 360?..... wow! fanboys are always flaming xbox 360 games for going PC multiplatform... but I think is a two way street... xbox 360 gamers are getting some PC love too... I wonder what they have to say about that.

We have seen plenty of RTS coming to the 360 and have made a good transformation. I always thought the controls on the 360 would really stink, but it is not that bad, when you think about it.

Xbox360-->PC
PC-->xbox360

That is part of MS's strategy, if their AAA games are not bought on the 360 , then they have a good chance at pushing the same game(depending on the game) on the PC with Vista/DX10 enabled graphics card. Plus the Cross-Platform play with Live will only get better, well as long as you go by MS rules that is.(the hard part for Dev)

Either way their in da money, their in da money.....

Lordninja, really what part of Blade's comment did you not comprehend?

I'll help ya..No really

It's one of the very best "Warhammer" game titles ever made imo.

carcarias1921d ago

Yep, sadly underrated and overlooked.

Excellent! Both the Namco titles were well made and felt like Warhammer. They were similar to the old classics Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen. I'd love more WFB (original style) games like those.

The Total War games do their own kind of thing (which is fine) but the units in those other games moved and acted more in accordance with Warhammer rules. In fact, the campaigns in those games played much more like the tabletop too, imho.

TGG_overlord1921d ago

Very much so, and "Dark Omen" is freaking awesome :3 That is true, but I like both series, so it's all cool ;)

- Yes, I'm just glad that I got a chance to handle the game's release in Sweden back in the days.

- That might change now with the GOG release though.
